A clear definition is not directly available. On the basis of the activities and the description which is however in the market present, Farmusol profiles them self as a 5 PL Logistic Service Company.

Within the logistical chain, a 4 PL service provider has been defined as boarding the organization but management has been also boarded. A 4 PL service provider frequently check the complete logistic chain, whereas it is left organizing and implementation frequently to third parties. The implementation of the service provider at the company processes of the constituent is frequently high.
Farmusol profile themselves however as 5 PL service provider. Farmusol’s core-business is creating knowledge and use this approach for improving processes and products. Every application of a potential customer or existing customer is considered as a tailor-made job and unique in its type. Farmusol use this knowledge to optimize and extend within the logistic chain.
Farmusol has a number of parts of the logistic chain on-site in Arnhem (The Netherlands) which is for our client a big advantage. An advantage in flexibility to get on-site warehouses, specialized chemical transport , a purchase organization, engineering and development are directly present and available.
Within the 5-PL concept Farmusol contracts long-term partnerships and service agreements with constituents where the financial aspect plays a vital role. A component is the risk sharing and turnovers of the activities. Within the whole of activities, the support and use of our IT system with the system of the client is getting more and more an important topic. Moreover Farmusol give these long-term partnerships support in the development of products and processes which apply operational at the client.
